Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern your use of the website britishcoreparts.com (“Website”) and all purchases of original Land Rover and Jaguar parts (“Goods”) made through it. By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these T&C, which incorporate our Shipping Information, Returns Policy, and Privacy Policy. These T&C comply with EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Directive 1999/44/EC, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or place an order. Last updated: September 20, 2025.
Definitions
- British Core Parts: Alekta Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”), a supplier of original Land Rover and Jaguar parts, registered in Latvia, registration number 40103052439, VAT number LV40103052439, address: Aviacijas str. 35, LV-1057, Riga, Latvia. Contact: sale@britishcoreparts.com.
- Customer: You, the individual or entity purchasing Goods (“you”, “your”).
- Consumer: A Customer purchasing Goods for purposes unrelated to trade, business, or profession, as defined by EU law.
- Goods: Original Land Rover and Jaguar parts or accessories, including packaging and manuals.
- Website: britishcoreparts.com.
1. General Provisions
- Scope: These T&C apply to all orders placed via the Website or other means (e.g., email, phone). We ship worldwide, except to countries under international sanctions.
- Applicable Law: Governed by Latvian law and EU regulations. EU/EEA Consumers may resolve disputes via the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC, ptac.gov.lv) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr). We participate in out-of-court dispute resolution where required.
- Amendments: We may update these T&C with notice via the Website. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
2. Ordering and Contract Formation
- Pre-Contractual Information: Before ordering, we provide: Goods’ main characteristics, total price (including VAT and shipping, calculated at checkout), payment and delivery details, Consumer withdrawal rights (EU/EEA only), 2-year legal guarantee (EU/EEA), 1-year warranty (non-EU/EEA), and after-sales support. This information forms part of the contract.
- Order Process: Select Goods, add to cart, provide billing/shipping details, select payment method, and confirm at checkout. Your order is an offer to purchase. The contract is formed upon our acceptance, confirmed by email or at dispatch.
- Order Acceptance: We may refuse orders (e.g., due to stock unavailability, sanctions, or errors). If we cannot supply Goods, we will notify you via email, offering alternatives or cancellation with a full refund.
- Substitutions: If a Good is unavailable due to stock volatility, we may offer a substitute of equivalent quality and value. If you select “Allow Product Substitution” at checkout, we may substitute automatically. If no substitute is available, we remove the item and refund the difference upon dispatch.
- Price and Payment: Prices are in EUR, including VAT where applicable. Payment methods: credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Revolut pay, Klarna. Payment is due at checkout via secure gateways. Title to Goods passes upon full payment and delivery.
3. Delivery and Shipping
- Full details in our Shipping Information.
- Carriers: We use trusted carriers (DHL, FedEx, DPD, etc.). Shipments are processed on business days (Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 EEST) after payment confirmation.
- Delivery Times: Estimated 1–14 business days; maximum 30 days for EU/EEA unless agreed otherwise. A tracking number is provided upon shipment.
- Risk and Responsibility: Risk of loss/damage passes to you upon delivery. For EU/EEA Consumers, we bear the risk until you or your designated recipient (not the carrier) takes possession.
- Inspection: Inspect Goods upon receipt. Report transit damage to the carrier and us (sale@britishcoreparts.com) within 24 hours to facilitate claims. After 48 hours, you must prove damage occurred before receipt.
- Import Duties/Taxes: You are responsible for import duties/taxes. Check local customs requirements before ordering.
- Delays: We are not liable for delays beyond our control (e.g., carrier issues, force majeure). EU/EEA Consumers may cancel and receive a refund if delivery exceeds 30 days.
4. Returns, Withdrawals, and Guarantees
- Full details in our Returns Policy.
- Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA Consumers Only): You have 14 days to withdraw without reason from the day you (or your designated third party, not the carrier) take possession of the Goods. Notify us via our universal Return Request Form at britishcoreparts.com/return-form or email sale@britishcoreparts.com. We provide a prepaid return label. Return Goods unused, in original packaging, securely packaged (your responsibility). We refund the item cost and standard shipping fees within 14 days of receipt, using the original payment method.
- Model Withdrawal Form (per Directive 2011/83/EU, Annex I(B)):To Alekta Ltd., Aviacijas str. 35, LV-1057, Riga, Latvia, sale@britishcoreparts.com: I/We hereby give notice that I/We withdraw from my/our contract of sale of the following Goods, Ordered on/received on, Name of Consumer(s), Address of Consumer(s), Signature of Consumer(s) (only if on paper), Date.
- Withdrawal Exceptions: Not applicable to sealed Goods unfit for return if unsealed, personalized Goods, or perishable items.
- Defective or Incorrect Goods:
- EU/EEA Consumers: 2-year legal guarantee. For defective, damaged, or incorrect Goods, notify us within 14 days via Return request form. We provide a prepaid return label and offer replacement or full refund (including shipping fees).
- Non-EU/EEA Customers: 1-year limited warranty. For defective or incorrect Goods, notify us within 7 days via Return request form. Approved returns are at your expense (except incorrect due to our error, where we cover return shipping). We offer replacement or item-cost refund.
- Non-Consumer Returns: Returns of compliant Goods require our prior written approval via britishcoreparts.com/return-form. Approved returns incur a 15% restocking fee and are at your expense.
- Consumer Liability: You are liable for diminished value of Goods from handling beyond what’s necessary to establish nature, characteristics, and functioning.
5. Surcharges for Refurbishable Units
- Certain Goods (e.g., refurbishable units like alternators) may incur a surcharge, acting as a deposit refundable upon return of the old core.
- To receive a surcharge refund:
- Return the original unit at your cost within 30 days of delivery.
- Ensure the unit is in refurbishable condition, in original packaging, and securely packaged.
- Await our supplier’s confirmation of acceptance.
- If the unit is not returned or is non-refurbishable, the surcharge is non-refunded. Surcharges are non-negotiable.
6. Liability and Warranties
- Conformity: Goods conform to their description and are of satisfactory quality at delivery.
- Warranties: 2-year legal guarantee for EU/EEA Consumers; 1-year limited warranty for non-EU/EEA Customers. Returns for defective Goods follow our Returns Policy.
- Limitations: We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or delays due to force majeure (e.g., strikes, natural disasters). Liability is limited to the order value. For EU/EEA Consumers, statutory rights (repair, replacement, price reduction, or contract termination) are unaffected.
- Advice: We provide compatibility/installation advice based on manufacturer data, but you are responsible for ensuring suitability. Consult a qualified mechanic if unsure. We are not liable for losses from advice.
7. Data Protection
- We process personal data per Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). See our Privacy Policy for details on data use (order processing, delivery, support), your rights (access, rectification, erasure), and how to contact us (sale@britishcoreparts.com).
8. Intellectual Property
- Website content (logos, images, descriptions) is our property or licensed. You may not copy or use it without permission.
9. Non-Consumer Provisions
- Applicability: These terms apply to non-consumers (e.g., businesses), excluding any terms you attempt to impose (e.g., via purchase orders). Accepting delivery confirms agreement.
- Retention of Title: Goods remain our property until full payment (including VAT) is received. Until title passes, you hold Goods as our bailee, storing them separately and identified as ours. You may sell/use Goods in your business at market value for our account. Sale proceeds are held in trust for us. We may repossess Goods if payment is overdue.
- Payment Terms: Prices with VAT, due at the invoice rate. Non-payment may result in suspended/canceled deliveries. No set-off or withholding without our written agreement.
- Acceptance: Goods are deemed accepted 1 business days after delivery. Non-compliant Goods may be rejected within 7 days at your expense, if complete and in supplied condition.
